How to deal with door transaction with "Wrong Time Zone" when presenting card user to reader?

This article contains steps to solve problem getting "Wrong Time Zone" transaction when accessing door.

 Problem
 

Get "Wrong Time Zone" transaction when flash card to the reader.   

User will not be able to access the door, if getting "Wrong Time Zone" transaction. This transaction will occur when user try to access unauthorized door at certain time.

 Symptoms
 

Get transaction as shown below.

 Cause (optional)
 
  1. User has no accessibility to the door. 
  2. User is accessing the door during holiday.
 Resolution Summary
 

Assign the correct door accessibility at the staff record.

Step 1: Configure the Door Access Setup. User must first configure the Time Set, followed by Time Zone and lastly Door Accessibility.

Step 2: Assign the correct Door Accessibility to the staff.

Step 3: Download the staff records to the controller.

Please perform steps below to solve the problem.

Accessing door during holiday will get "Wrong Time Zone" transaction unless the holiday settings is disabled.

  1. Login to xPortal Client. 
  2. Please ensure controller is "Up"
  3. Then, configure following setups.

In order to configure Door Access, user must first configure Time Set and Time Zone. Only then can configure the Door Accessibility.

  1. Open Staff Records. Go to Data Setup › Access Data Setting  Staff Records.
  2. The Staff Detail Setup window will be shown.


  3. Click Add to add new staff records or click Modify if the staff record is already exists.
  4. Fill up the staff records.
  5. Then select the Door Accessibility that has been created at small Step 1 above by clicking the Door Accessibility tab or Door Access Code field:


  6. Complete fill up the staff record. Then click OK to confirm and save changes.


  1. Open Send Staff SettingsGo to Device Comm › Send Staff Settings.
  2. Select controller name then click Send All.
  3. Flash card to the reader to confirm the settings saved correctly.

    User shall get "(PJ) Wrong Time Zone" if trying to access unauthorized door.
