XP-GT/ XP-GTR controller "Down"

This article consists of steps to troubleshoot when XP-GT/ XP-GTR controller is down.

Applies To:

  • XP-GT1200L, XP-GT3200L, XP-GT1200LABX, XP-GT3200LABX, XP-GT3200LE, XP-GT3200LCPX, XP-GT500LE, XP-GTR1200L, XP-GTR3200L
 Problem
 

› Controller down.   
› No connection between controller and software.

 Symptoms
 

› Controller status showing "Down" from the Device List at the xPortal software.
› No communication between controller and software.
› No transaction shown at the software.

 Cause (optional)
 

› Incorrect wiring connection.
› Network/ RJ45 cable is not working properly.
› Incorrect network setting was configured.
› MCI faulty.

 Resolution Summary
 

To solve the problem, there are several things to check.

  1. Check the wiring connection of the controller is correct.
  2. Check the Uplink connection:
    1. If using network, please check the Network/ RJ45 cable is working properly.
    2. If using MCI, please connect it to a power supply with 12Vdc, 3A and ensure it is working. 

  3. Configure the right network setting at the controller and xPortal Server.
