This article contains steps to configure Fire Alarm Release using xPortalNet software.

xPortalNet Server Setup
Configure Fire Alarm Door Release
This setup is to enable the fire alarm door release setting.
- Run xPortalNet Service and xPortalNet Server.
- Open System Properties. Go to Server Admin › System Properties.
- Click Modify.
- Enable the Fire Alarm Door Release to "Yes".
Fire Alarm Door Release only applicable to XP-SNET v4, XP-M2000i and M1000i controller model only. - Click OK to confirm and save changes.
xPortalNet Client Setup
Configure Fire Alarm Group
This setup is to create fire alarm group for all doors to be released whenever fire alarm is triggered.
- Run xPortalNet Client.
- Open Fire Alarm Group. Go to Data Setup › System Setting › Fire Alarm Group.
- Click Add to add new fire alarm group.
Field Description Code and Description Enter Code and Description Enable? Set to 'Y' Fie Alarm Signal From Controller When fire alarm is triggered from this master controller, all doors from controller on this group will be released.
*Only applicable for XP-SNET v4, XP-M2000i and XP-M1000iController List Selected door will automatically released when get signal "Fire Alarm Triggered" from the master controller. - Click OK to confirm and save changes.
Download Door Settings
- Run xPortalNet Client.
- Open Send Door Setting. Go to Device Comm › Send Door Setting.
- Select controller name and click Send All Settings.
Observe Transactions
- Run xPortalNet Client.
- Please ensure the Security is "On" and all door is in closed condition.
- Please verify the setting by triggering the fire alarm from master controller.
- Please observe the transaction from the Latest Event List after Fire Alarm is "Triggered".
- When the Fire Alarm is triggered from the master controller,
- The door from the Master Controller will be released.
- The door from controller selected in the Fire Alarm Group will be released.
Post-Configuration
Set Doors Back to Normal Operation
WARNING: Please take fire safety measures and confirm that the building condition is ready to back in normal operation before performing steps below.
- Please short/ close back the Fire Alarm terminal at the Master Controller.
- Run xPortalNet Client.
- Open Send Door Command. Open Device Comm › Send Door Command.
- Select door name and click Security On.
- Please make sure the Current Security of all doors is back to Security On.
