How to configure address setting (Unit No) for Multi-Door Controller?

 Resolution Summary
 

To configure the address (Unit No) of Multi-Door controller, you are required to perform following steps:

  1. Configure the Address Setting from the physical controller board.

    1. Toggle the Address Setting DIP Switch to assign the address of the controller.
    2. Each address of the controller must be unique.

  2. Configure the Unit No of the controller from the software.

    1. This Unit No is set according to the Address Setting configured from the controller board.

Perform steps below:

Address Setting

  1. Please check the wiring connection is correct before proceed.


  2. Follow steps below to configure address for controller. 

    1. Refer to the image below to set the address setting from the controller board.


    2. Toggle the dip switch correctly.
    3. Example: Address 01 - Toggle Up No 1 and Toggle Down No 2,3,4.


Controller Setup



  1. Login to xPortal Server.
  2. Open Controller Setup. Go to Server Admin › Controller Setup.
  3. Refer to the image below to set the address setting of the controller at the xPortal software.


  4. Set the Unit No according to the Address Setting you have set from the controller board. 

    Example:
    1. Dip switch = 00, Unit No = 0 
    2. Dip switch = 01, Unit No = 1 
    3. Dip switch = 02, Unit No = 2
Each controller must have unique address no.
