Unable to enter the XP-M1000x Programming Menu

This article contains step to fix the problem where user unable to enter the XP-M1000x Programming Menu.

 Problem
 

 Unable to enter to the Programming Menu.    

 Symptoms
 

 Unable to enter the Programming Menu after enter the default Master PIN  
› The LCD display shows *Invalid Pin!* after enter the Master PIN to enter the Programming Menu.

 Cause (optional)
 

› Incorrect Master PIN is entered.
› 
The Mode jumper at the back of the controller is in closed/ shorted condition.      

 Resolution Summary
 
  1. If cannot enter programming menu using default Master PIN, means the PIN number has been changed.
    › Please enter the new Master PIN.
     

  2. If forgot the Master PIN, perform ColdStart to restore the default Master PIN.

  3. Make sure the jumper setting is set to controller mode
    › When it act as a controller, the controller Mode jumper must be set in open condition.  

 Resolution
 
  1. Perform ColdStart to restore the default Master PIN. See small  How to reset the M1000x controller to factory default setting? (Coldstart)
    Master PIN is a six-digit PIN that is used to access the controller's Programming Menu.

  2. Please set the Mode jumper to open condition, then the XP-M1000x unit only allow to enter to the Programming Menu after the ColdStart
  3. Refer Figure 1 below:
