How to connect Fire Alarm to XP-CPROA alarm controller?

This article contains steps to connect the Fire Alarm Panel to XP-CPROA alarm controller.

To connect XP-CPROA alarm controller with Fire Alarm, several setup need to be done which are:

  1. Configure Wiring Connection
    1. Configure the wiring connection from Fire Alarm Panel to XP-CPRO.
    2. Ensure the door that is connected to the Fire Alarm Input is connected properly to the controller.

  2. xPortal Server Setup
    1. Configure the Controller (Including Connection and Door Setup).
    2. Enable the Fire Alarm Door Release from the System Properties Setup.

  3. xPortal Client Setup
    1. Download Door Setting to the controller.

Perform this steps to configure fire alarm using XP-CPROA:


  1. Please connect the Fire Alarm Panel to XP-CPRO correctly.
  2. Then, make sure the door that is connected to the Fire Alarm Input is connected properly to the controller.


  1. Run xPortal Server.
  2. Configure server setup as shown below accordingly.
  3. Make sure the setting of Fire Alarm Door Release is Enabled.
Connection Setup

  1. Open Connection Setup. Go to Server Admin › Connection Setup.
  2. Add one connection.


  3. Click OK to confirm and save the settings.

Controller Setup

  1. Open Controller Setup. Go to Server Admin › System Device Setup › Controller.
  2. Add one controller.


  3. Click OK to confirm and save the settings.

Door Setup (For MK800)

  1. Open Door Setup. Go to Server Admin › System Device Setup › Door.
  2. Add one door as shown below. 
  3. Make sure the Unit No is set according to the Reader Interface (MK800) Jumper Address Setting.

  4. Click OK to confirm and save the settings.


System Properties Setup

  1. Open System Properties SetupGo to Server Admin › System Properties.
  2. Enable the Fire Alarm Door Release by selecting "Yes".


  3. Click OK to confirm and save the settings.


  1. Login to xPortal Client.
  2. Open Send Door Setting. Go to Device Comm › Send Door Setting › Send All Settings.
  3. Download door settings to the controller accordingly.
