Can XP-GTR1200L read Mifare card?

This article contains information about card type that can be supported using XP-GTR/ XP-GT controller model.

  • Software xPortal2005 v1.3 and above, xPortal2007, xPortalNet, xPortal3000
 Problem
 

› Can I use Mifare card using XP-GTR1200L controller? Why my card is not detected when present at the reader?   

 Symptoms
 

 Mifare card is not detected at the reader.
 When flash card, no beep sound at the reader.
 No transaction appear at the xPortal software.
   

 Cause (optional)
 

 Incorrect controller model.
 Incorrect Token Type was selected at Staff Records.    

 Resolution Summary
 

 XP-GTR1200L cannot read Mifare card.
 The right controller model for Mifare card is XP-GTR1200LABX/ XP-GTR3200LABX
 Please make sure controller type is correct upon purchasing.
 Make sure the Token Type selected is correct upon adding staff records.  

 Resolution
 

Please perform steps below to solve the issue.

Make sure the controller that you are using is correct.

The controller model that compatible with Mifare card is GTR-1200LABX/ XP-GTR3200LABX. The XP-GTR1200L model is for Proximity card. 

  1. Run xPortal Client to start adding the staff record.
  2. Make sure the xPortal Server is already running and controller is up.
  3. Open Staff Records. Go to Data Setup › Access Data Setting › Staff Records.


  4. Click Add to add the staff records. Enter the information of the staff correctly.
    Token Type for existing staff record cannot be changed after saved. Please delete the staff record and re-adding the record again.

    Make sure the Token Type selected is Mifare Card.
  5. After you have entered all the necessary fields, open Door Accessibility tab to set the door access for the staff.

  6. Select Door Accessibility to determine at which day and what time the staff can access particular door.
  7. Click OK to confirm and save the changes.

    Hi,

    Currently my office using this model XP-GTR1200L, my access card for standby is going to finish. I would be appreciate if your company could advice us which type of access card should I purchase and where can I get it.
