Why the EM Lock always in disengage condition? Using XP-M1000x

This article contains steps to fix the problem of XP-M1000x where door always in release condition.

 Problem
 

› Security ON but door always release.                

         
 Symptoms
 
 The EM Lock always in disengage condition when security mode is ON. 

         
 Cause (optional)
 

 Security OFF mode.
 EM Lock faulty.
 Reader faulty.
 Power supply to XP-M1000x is low.

         
 Resolution Summary
 
Resolution 1:
 Make sure the wiring connection is correct.
 Make sure the EM Lock wiring connection is correct.

Resolution 2:
 Make sure power supplied is enough.

Resolution 3:
› Make sure the reader is not in the Programming Mode. 

Resolution 4:
 Set to Security ON mode.

Please complete the following steps below in order to resolve your issue.

Resolution 1:

  1. Please make sure the wiring connection is correct. 
  2. See AA-00308 to learn how to check the wiring connection.



Resolution 2:

  1. Make sure the power supplied to the XP-M1000x is enough. 
  2. Measure the voltage input terminal at reader XP-M1000x, make sure it around +12Vdc ±10%.
    1. If the voltage measured lower than 11Vdc, please change a new power supply to test again. 
    2. The specification of regulated power supply for XP-M1000x is +12Vdc, 2A(min).



Resolution 3:

  1. Make sure the reader is not in the Programming Mode
  2. Blue LED will be blinking during Programming Mode.
  3. Please ensure the Blue LED is turn off.



Resolution 4:

  1. Please make sure Security is enabled. (Disabled will cause the lock to be permanently released)
  2. Enter Programming Mode
    1. Key in "*" (asterisk)  followed by 6 digits Master PIN. 
    2. Press '1' for Sys menu.
    3. Press '2' for Door Para.
    4. Press '#' to proceed to the next item until you find 'Security [ON]' menu.
      1. If current value is 'OFF', update the menu value to 'ON' by pressing '0' to toggle between settings. Press '#' to proceed to the next item.
      2. Continue doing this until the Save Changes page is displayed. Press '#' to save changes and exit from the Door Parameter setting.
