How do I change the XP-M1000x as Exit reader while XP-RDPRX as Entry reader?

This article contains steps to change the XP-M1000x as Exit reader while XP-RDPRX as Entry reader.

 Problem
 

› Currently my XP-RDPRX acts as an exit reader. I want to change it as entry reader while my reader (XP-M1000x) will be the exit reader. How to change the setting?         

         
 Resolution Summary
 

Resolution 1:
› Connect the XP-RDPRX reader to the Entry Reader at the back of the XP-M1000x.
 
 

Resolution 2:
› Update the XP-M1000x Door Parameter menu "As Exit" to YES 
› To enable the reader to become an exit reader and the external reader to become the entry reader

Please complete the following steps to change the reader setting: 
This is the configuration steps to set the XP-M1000x as Exit reader meanwhile the XP-RDPRX as Entry reader.

Resolution 1:

  1. Make sure the wiring connection from XP-RDPRX to XP-M1000x is correct. 
  2. Refer Figure 1 below:

Resolution 2:

  1. Enter Programming Mode. Key in "*" (asterisk) followed by 6 digits Master PIN
  2. Press '1' for Sys menu.
  3. Press '2' for Door Para. Press '#' to proceed to the next item until you find 'As Exit' menu.

  4. Edit the value to 'YES' by pressing '0' to toggle between settings. 
  5. Press '#' to proceed to the next item.
  6. Continue doing this until the Save Changes page is displayed.

  7. Press '#' to save changes and exit from the Door Parameter setting.
    » The changes will not be saved if the configuration is interrupted midway.
