This article contains steps to manually add staff record in the software.

Resolution SummaryThere are 4 ways to add staff record using the xPortal software. You may choose any option that you preferred. The 4 options are "Manual Add", 
"Batch Add", "Scan List" and "Import Staff". This article will show you the steps of using "Manual Add".
ResolutionPlease complete the following steps in order to add staff record:
- Run xPortal Client to start adding the staff record.
- Please ensure the xPortal Server is already running and controller is up.
- Open Staff Records. Go to Data Setup › Access Data Setting › Staff Records.
- Click Add button to insert a new Staff Record. A form as below will be displayed.
- Enter the information of the staff.
- After you have entered all the necessary fields, open Door Accessibility tab to set the door access for the staff.
- Select Door Accessibility to determine at which day and what time the staff can access particular door.
- Click OK to confirm. The following window will be shown.
- The following window will be shown. Click OK to continue.
- The software will automatically send user setting (install card) to all controllers.
- After downloading all the settings, it will display a report of data being sent. Click Close to return to Staff Detail Setup menu.
- The newly added staff record will be listed in the Staff Detail Setup menu.
- Enter ID Number/ flash card to the reader to verify it is already installed.
- The card will get "Valid Entry Access" if the staff is granted for access on the installed controller.
- Finished.
