Why the EM Lock always in disengage condition? Using XP-SR200K

This article contains steps to fix the problem of XP-SR200K where door always in release condition.

 Problem
 

› The EM lock always in disengage condition.           

         
 Symptoms
 
› Security on but door always release.
› Red LED on MAS-RB always remain off regardless Push Button is pressed and valid card is presented.

         
 Cause (optional)
 
› Relay board (MAS-RB) is faulty. 
› The connection of relay board is incorrect.
› The reader is in Programming Mode.
› Security OFF mode.
› EM lock faulty.
› Door sensor faulty.
› Reader faulty.

         
 Resolution Summary
 
Resolution 1:
› Make sure the wiring is correct.

Resolution 2:
› Make sure the reader is not in the Programming Mode.

Resolution 3:
› Make sure the reader is in Security ON mode.

Resolution 4:
› Make sure the EM lock connection is correct.

         
 Resolution
 

Please complete the following steps below in order to resolve your issue. 

Resolution 1:

  1. Please make sure the wiring is correct. 
  2. See AA-00244 to learn how to check the wiring connection.

Resolution 2:
  1. Make sure the reader is not in the Programming Mode.
  2. Please ensure the Blue LED is turn off.

Resolution 3:
  1. Make sure the reader is in Security ON mode.
  2. Security ON mode, the Blue LED will be OFF. 
  3. Security OFF mode, the Blue LED will be always ON.
    1. To set Security ON mode, enter to Programming Mode.
    2. Press "62" and press "1" to turn ON security mode.
    3. Press "#" to confirm and exit from Programming Mode.

Resolution 4:
  1. Make sure the connection from EM Lock to the controller is correct. 
  2. Please refer to the wiring connection diagram at Resolution 1.
    1. If problem persist, please test with another functional EM Lock.
