Microsoft .NET Framework v1.1 errors

This article contains solution to solve the issue of Mirosoft .NET Framework v1.1 errors.

Applies To:

  • Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, Server 2003, Server 2008, Server 2008 R2
  • Software xPortal2005 v1.1, xPortal2005 v1.2     
 Problem
 
› Unable to install xPortal software.
› Unable to run Server/ Client software.
       
 Symptoms
 
  1. Symptom 1: Getting error message as shown below when install xPortal2005 software.


  2. Symptom 2: Server inactive.


  3. Symptom 3: Getting error messages as shown below when run xPortal2005 Server.




  4. Symptom 4: Getting error message as shown below when run xPortal2005 Client.
 Cause (optional)
 
  1. Symptom 1 & 2: Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 is not installed.
  2. Symprom 3 & 4: Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 installed is corrupted.
 Resolution Summary
 
Symptom 1 & 2:

  1. Please install the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1.
  2. There are 4 options of installation guide available to install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1. 
  3. Please make sure the option/ method chosen is applicable to the correct/ relevant Windows OS platform where the xPortal software is to be installed.

Symptom 3 & 4:

  1. Please uninstall the installed Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1.
  2. Re-install the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 afterwards.
