Why user can exit from entrance door when the door have been blocked from using XP-GT/ XP-GTR?

This article contains steps to fix problem where user can access the blocked door when using XP-GT/ XP-GTR.

Applies To:

  • XP-GT1200L, XP-GT3200L, XP-GT1200LABX, XP-GT3200LABX, XP-GT3200LE, XP-GT3200LCPX, XP-GT500LE, XP-GTR1200L, XP-GTR3200L
  • Software xPortal2005 v1.2 and above, xPortal2007, xPortalNet, xPortal3000 
 Problem
 

› User can exit the blocked entrance door. 

 Symptoms
 

› User got "Valid Exit Access" when exit from blocked door.         

 Cause (optional)
 

› The "Exit Time Zone Enable" feature is OFF.
› Incorrect Door Accessibility was assign to the card user.

 Resolution Summary
 

Turn ON the "Exit Time Zone Enable" feature, then assign the correct Door Accessibility to the card user.    

 Resolution
 

Perform steps below to solve the issue.

This only applicable to the XP-GT/ XP-GTR controller which attached with any XP-RDPRX as Exit Reader.


Turn On Exit Time Zone Enable feature

  1. At the controller, enter the programming menu.
  2. Enter System Menu › Door Parameter.
  3. Toggle small and small arrow to find Exit Time Zone Enable feature.
  4. Edit the values for the parameter by pressing small, followed by the desired value and small again to confirm.
  5. Enable the feature by change the value to ON.
  6. Use the small button to return to the system menu.
  7. You will be prompted to confirm your changes before exiting. Press small to confirm changes.

Assign Door Accessibility

  1. Login to xPortal Client software.
  2. Open Staff Records. Go to Data Setup › Access Data Setting › Staff Records.
  3. Select the Door Access Code.


  4. Select the Door Accessibility to enable user access the door. 
    Eg: Door only can be access from 8AM until 4PM.


  5. Click OK and save the changes.
  6. Flash card at the exit reader to verify the settings have correctly saved.
  7. Example transaction:

    Condition:
    » Door accessibility is from 8AM until 4PM. User flash the card after 4PM.
    Door Parameter Transaction Shown
    Exit Time Zone Enable = ON Wrong Time Zone
    Exit Time Zone Enable = OFF Valid Exit Access
