"Process Performance Counter Is Disable, Request Operation Can Not Perform" error

This article contains steps to fix the error encounter upon login to xPortal2005.

 Problem
 

› Cannot log in to xPortal2005 server.      

       
 Symptoms
 

› "Process Performance Counter Is Disable, Request Operation Can Not Perform" error appears when I login to xPortal2005 Server.

         
 Cause (optional)
 

› System file error.

         
 Resolution Summary
 
› Replace files "perfc009.dat" and "perfh009.dat" in System32.
 
         
 Resolution
 

Please complete the following steps in order to resolve the issue. 

  1. Get the copy of "perfc009.dat" and "perfh009.dat" in System32.
    • From other PC (Make sure the file is not corrupted, which mean the xPortal software can be run) OR
    • Download the required files from the link provided at the end of the article and then extract the SYSTEM32 Files*.rar file.
  2. Make sure xPortal2005 software is not running.
  3. Please go to C:\Windows\System32\ OR C:\%Systemroot%\System32\.
  4. Backup the original "perfc009.dat" and "perfh009.dat" file.
  5. Paste the copy of "perfc009.dat" and "perfh009.dat" file (Refer Step 1) to the System32 and replaced the existing file. 
  6. Re-run MicroEngine application again and check all setting.
  7. Ensure all setting are correct.
  8. Finish.
