Why the EM Lock always in disengage condition? Using XP-SR40 reader

This article contains steps to fix the problem of XP-SR40 where door always in release condition.

 Problem
 

EM Lock always in disengage condition.         

         
 Symptoms
 
 Door is closed but EM Lock still in release (disengaged) conditions.
 EM Lock always in release (disengaged) conditions. 
 Door sensor is not beeping when door is opened.
 Green LED is always on.

         
 Cause (optional)
 
 Reader faulty.
 EM Lock faulty.
 Relay board (MAS-RB) is faulty. 
 The wiring connection of relay board is incorrect.
 XP-SR40 reader does not installed with 3 Master Cards after reader has been Coldstart.

         
 Resolution Summary
 

 Make sure the wiring connection is correct.
 Make sure the Reader is not in the Programming Mode.          

         
 Resolution
         

Please complete the following steps below in order to resolve your issue. 

  1. Please make sure the wiring connection is correct. 
    1. See AA-00242 for XP-SR40 wiring connection diagram.

  2. Make sure the Reader is not in the Programming Mode.
    1. Please ensure the Green LED is turn off.

  3. If the XP-SR40 has been performed with a Coldstart, the Green LED will always ON. 
    1. Make sure 3 Master cards have been programmed to the reader.
    2. See AA-00245 to program Master Cards.
