Unable to enrol fingerprint templates

 This article contains steps to troubleshoot problem where user unable to enrol fingerprint templates.

Applies To:

  • XP-GT1200L, XP-GT3200L, XP-GT1200LABX, XP-GT3200LABX, XP-GT3200LE, XP-GT3200LCPX, XP-GT500LE, XP-GTR1200L, XP-GTR3200L

 Problem
 

› Unable to add fingerprint templates.    

 Symptoms
 

› After flash card at the door, get invalid access.    
› Using the same card number, unable to add the fingerprint templates.

 Cause (optional)
 

› Staff record is yet to be added at the controller/ software.

 Resolution Summary
 
If connected to software, 
› Add/ install staff record from the database on software.

If standalone controller,
› Add/ install staff record from the database on controller.
 
 Resolution
 

Perform the following steps:

  1. Please add the staff record from the software accordingly.
  2. If connected to the software, see article small How to manually add staff record in xPortal Client software?
  3. If standalone installation, see article small How to install staff card at the XP-GT/ XP-GTR controller?
