How to enter to XP-M1000x Programming Mode?

This article contains steps to enter to XP-M1000x Programming Mode.

  • XP-M1000x, XP-M1000ABX, XP-M1300X, XP-M1300ABX, XP-M1000XE, XP-M1000CPX     
 Resolution Summary
 

XP-M1000X is a single door controller by itself. It can be programmed through two methods:

  1. xPortal software programming.
  2. On-board keypad programming.
This article will describe how to enter on-board keypad programming.    

 Resolution
 

To enter Programming Mode, follow these steps:

  1. Press '*' (asterisk).
  2. Key in the 6 digits MasterPIN.
    If you forgot your MasterPIN, see small Unable to enter the XP-M1000x Programming Menu
  3. Blue LED will be blinking during Programming Mode.

Once you have entered the Programming Mode, you will immediately see these options:

  1. System
  2. Database
  3. Maint (Maintenance)
  4. Exit
Option Description
System Contain all settings which has to do with the operation of the unit like Lock release time, Reader types etc.
Database Contains all settings related to the management of card holders like adding and deleting cards and changing settings for each individual cards.
Maint (Maintenance) Contain settings related to the housekeeping of the unit. This option will also provide information on number of card installed or number of vehicles parked if used in a Car Park configuration.
Exit Choosing the Exit option will enable the user to exit the programming mode and resume normal operation.
