Please complete the following steps:
Wiring Connection
- Check the wiring connection before configure the Server Setup at xPortal software.
- See Wiring connection diagram for XP-CPRO.
Connection Setup
Check the Comm Port No. where the MCI is connected from the PC’s Device Manager.
- Run Windows Device Manager. Right-click at My Computer › Select "Manage".
- Computer Management Window will pop out. Select "Device Manager" › Select "Ports (COM & LPT)".
*The COM Port No may be different. It is according to the user's PC Comm Port No where the MCI is plugged in.
Add connection at Connection Setup from the xPortalNet Server.
- Run xPortal Server software.
- Open Connection Setup. Go to Server Admin › Connection Setup.
- Add one connection as shown below:
- Click OK to confirm and save changes.
- Open Controller Setup. Go to Server Admin › System Device Setup › Controller.
- Add one controller as shown below.
- Connection: Select the connection name that is created in step Connection Setup.
- Unit No: Set according to the controller's DIP Switch Address Setting.
- Model No: XP-CPRO model
- Network Type: Direct Serial Port
- Click OK to confirm and save changes.
Door Setup- Open Door Setup. Go to Server Admin › System Device Setup › Door.
- Add one door as shown below.
- Controller: Select the controller name that is created in step Controller Setup.
- Unit No: Set according to the MK800 (Reader Interface) Jumper Address Setting.
- Click OK to confirm and save changes.
Verify the configuration
Controller Status
- The newly added controller will be shown in the Device List.
- Verify the status of the controller is already "Up".
Door Status
- The newly added door will be shown in the Device List.
- Verify the status of the door is already "Up".
Send Door Settings
- Run xPortal Client software.
- Send Door Setting. Go to Device Comm › Send Door Setting › Select controller › Click Send All Settings.
- The setting shall be successfully downloaded to the controller.
im going to order/install a microengine door access xp-m1000x, but i want to know what are my computer system version to comply with????
