This article contains steps to apply Card+Pin Mode for XP-M1000i controller.

Problem Resolution Summary Resolution- Make sure the XP-M1000i is connected with P80KL reader.
- Otherwise the Card+Pin Mode cannot be used using this controller.
- Connect the P80KL to the RC- and RC+ terminal.
Login to xPortal Client software.
Staff Records Setup:
- Add staff record. (Go to Data Setup › Access Data Setting › Staff Records)
- Make sure "Verification Mode" selected is By Door.
- Click OK to confirm and save settings.
Door Setup:
- Open Door Setup. (Go to Data Setup › System Setting › Door)
- At Higher Security Mode, please select Token Type + PIN.
- At Higher Security TZ*, please select 001.
- You may also create your own Higher Security TZ. See AA-00277.
» 001 Time Zone will required all staff to present card and enter PIN at all time whenever they accessing the door. - Click OK to confirm and save settings.
