This article contains steps to fix the problem of xPortal2007 where unable to initialize the database correctly during the first time installation.
Applies To:
- Software xPortal2007
Problem Symptoms› Get error message as shown below after run xPortal2007 Server.
› After click Initialize Database, no responses at all.
Cause (optional) Resolution Summary ResolutionPlease complete the following steps below in order to resolve your issue.
Resolution 1:
› Make sure Firebird is properly installed and the service is Running.
- If Firebird is yet to be installed, see AA-00322 for the steps on how to install Firebird.
- If Firebird is already installed, check the Services. Make sure the status of Firebird Server is "Running".
» Right click on your taskbar › Select Task Manager › Services Tab › Click Open Services.
- If the Firebird Server status is not running, right click on the service name and then click Start.
Resolution 2:
› Make sure the xPortal software is running as Administrator.
- Find the xPortal2007 Server and xPortal2007 Client icon.
- Right click on the icon and then select Properties.
- At the Compatibility tab, please tick checkbox "Run this program as an administrator".
