Re-installation of Microsoft.NET Framework failed

The .NET Framework might working incorrectly after a windows update or etc. This article contains steps to clean-up the corrupted Microsoft .NET Framework before you can re-install the framework again.

 Problem
 

› Unable to login to xPortal software.

 Symptoms
 

› After update Windows OS, the software suddenly cannot be opened.
› Re-installation of Microsoft.NET Framework failed.

 Cause (optional)
 

› Microsoft .NET Framework is corrupted.    

 Resolution Summary
 
 Download the .NET Framework Cleanup Tool.
› Run the cleanup tool to start clean up the .NET Framework

 Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1:

  1. Download the .NET Framework Cleanup Tool.
  2. Run the cleanup tool to start clean up the .NET Framework.
