Resolution Summary ResolutionTo completely uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1, please complete the following steps.
Warning! Continuing further will make permanent changes to your system. You will need to reinstall any products that you choose to clean up. If you do not want to proceed, press the Exit button.
- The .NET Framework clean up tool is available for download from the link provided at the end of this article.

.NET-Framework-cleanup-tool. - Download the clean-up tools from the provided link above and then extract the files accordingly.
- Run the cleanup_tool.exe as administrator. The following window will be prompted. Click Yes to continue.
- The License Agreement window will be prompted. Click Yes to accept the agreement and continue.
- Select the .NET Framework 1.1 at "Product to cleanup" menu.
- Click Cleanup Now button to start. The following windows will be shown. You may noticed the "Current status" will be changed throughout the cleanup process.
- Once the cleanup completed, the following window will be prompted. Click Yes to restart the system and complete the clean up.
- You should noticed that "Current status" of the cleanup is succeeded. Click Exit button to close the window.
- Cleanup completed.
